Please note that we will start to our Spring Covid vaccination program starting from the 13th of April 2026 for most vulnerable cohorts as per guidance on the eligibility and timeline provided by NHS.

Eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccination this spring

• adults aged 75 years and over (by 30 June 2026)
• residents in a care home for older adults
• individuals aged 6 months and over who have a weakened immune system

The eligibility is the same across the 4 nations of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).

Age-based criteria

Those who are aged 75 and over can come forward to top up their protection this spring. If you are 74 but turn 75 years old by 30 June 2026,

you don't have to wait for your birthday to come forward.

The practice will start to contact you and sending booking links to have your vaccine as soon as we are in receipt of stock.

No need to contact the practice, we have ordered enough stock for all eligible patients

Children's Clinics

Derwentside have their last clinic open to all eligible children across Co Durham next week – Wednesday 29^th April 2026:

• Cedars Medical Group, Cedars Cresent, Burnopfield, Newcastle, NE16 6HU

Time – 3.30 pm to 6 pm

Offer open to eligible children across Co Durham aged 6M to 17 yrs
